California Community Land Trust Network – Co-Director for Policy: The California Community Land Trust Network (CACLTN) Co-Director for Policy will help lead the Network’s activities at this exciting moment of growth for permanently affordable, democratically controlled housing in California. The Co-Director will lead the Network’s policy and advocacy operations in addition to providing executive organizational leadership in partnership with the Co-Director for Organizing and Partnerships. This Co-Director position is highly collaborative and ideal for those with work and/or lived experience in communities most impacted by the housing affordability crisis and at least 5 years of work experience in senior or executive nonprofit positions.
Central California Land Trust – Executive Director: Central California Land Trust (CCL T) is a start-up, non-profit, community land trust based in Fresno. CCLT aims to create permanently affordable housing and community stability by acquiring, developing, and redeveloping housing through partnerships. The Executive Director oversees CCLT’s operations, resource development, staffing, budgeting, and community engagement. Applications due by the end of June 2024.
CheqBUILT – Executive Director: CheqBUILT is seeking to hire its first Executive Director. CheqBUILT serves households in Ashland and Bayfield Counties of Wisconsin. It is funded by area residents concerned about affordable housing issues, as well as foundations, government entities, tribal organizations, businesses, and real estate transactions. CheqBUILT envisions a vibrant community where all residents have housing that meets their needs. CheqBUILT’s mission is to create and preserve permanently affordable housing for Ashland and Bayfield County residents.
Community Home Trust – Comptroller (hybrid position): The Comptroller is a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the Executive Director with overall responsibility for the financial strategy of the organization. Working as a collaborative leader, the Comptroller helps manage expected organizational growth and reports on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs of the organization. The Comptroller will report to investors, lenders, grantors, and government agencies; oversee cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Equity Trust – Associate Director: The Associate Director will work closely with the Executive Director, other staff, and the board to define, develop, and implement programs; convey Equity Trust’s ideas and issues to clients and the public; build relationships with funders and aligned organizations; and help manage the daily operations. Specific duties of the job will be refined in dialogue with the selected applicant based on skills, interests, and the needs of the organization. The Associate Director will also participate in the process of defining and implementing Equity Trust’s future leadership structure, in light of plans for its longtime Executive Director to transition out of that position within the next 1-2 years.
Homestead Community Land Trust
- Development Manager: The Annual Fund Manager promotes Homestead’s work to create equitable and permanently affordable homeownership by designing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies. They work closely with the CEO and the Digital Content Developer to tell the story of Homestead’s community work to create permanently affordable homeownership, expanding an equitable economy for housing communities, repairing the harms of housing discrimination and protecting vulnerable communities from displacement.
- Director of Homeownership and Stewardship Services: Homestead seeks an experienced community land trust specialist to lead and manage our homeownership services and stewardship program. The Director of Homeownership and Stewardship Services is a member of the senior leadership team who oversees and improves support for homebuyers, homeowners and strengthens Homestead’s partnerships with community based organizations. Responding to the financial, emotional and funder compliance challenges associated with purchasing a home, the Director is an advocate for homeowner needs and Homestead’s mission of preserving the affordability and marketability of each home to future homeowners.
Island Housing Trust
- Chief Advancement Officer: Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) will lead the team charged with philanthropy and focus on building donor and investor pipelines and relationships with major donors, including managing a portfolio of individual and business donors. The CAO’s primary work is to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and close major gifts and secure social impact investments to advance the Island Housing Trust (IHT) mission. The CAO will manage the Director of Annual Giving, develop IHT’s fundraising strategy, and in collaboration with the development team, create a detailed plan for all fundraising programs and activities to meet the organization’s overall revenue goals.
- Real Estate Project Manager: The Project Manager is a full-time position in the Real Estate line of business and reports to the Real Estate Project Director. Responsibilities include implementation of RFP’s, RFQ’s, permitting processes, contractor selection, construction project management, budget reconciliation and post occupancy performance monitoring, as well as helping to build governmental, institutional and community relations.
Oakland Community Land Trust – Asset Manager: OakCLT is looking to hire a qualified and dedicated person in the role of Asset Manager. The Asset Manager will be responsible for stewarding the financial health of OakCLT projects and attending to the various compliance requirements of funders, lenders, and government agencies. The Asset Manager will join a small, highly-dedicated interdisciplinary team, and will work closely with the Operations and Finance Director, Executive Director, property and project managers, as well as OakCLT residents.
Richmond LAND
- Community Engagement Manager: Richmond LAND is hiring for a Community Engagement Manager (CEM) to execute programs, campaigns, and activities that help engage and empower residents to
- reshape housing justice, real estate development, urban planning and land-use in Richmond and Contra Costa County. The CEM is responsible for facilitating, educating, and coordinating a CLT membership of various member types to participate in the organization’s programming that activates residents to engage in neighborhood activation efforts, community planning/development, and in local advocacy efforts.
- Real Estate Manager: The Real Estate Manager (REM) is responsible for overseeing the management and growth of the community land trust real estate projects, from acquisition to community stewardship. The REM will oversee the creation of a transformative real estate pipeline, community-controlled development projects, and the identification of mission aligned real estate acquisition opportunities. The REM will be responsible for the beginning-to-end creation of new single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use community development projects including stewarding the properties, providing program oversight of all real estate transactions, managing acquisition/rehabilitation and new construction projects, rent-to-own programs, and shared-equity ownership. The REM ensures that our real estate activity, community development projects, and neighborhood stabilization efforts are executed with a high level of care.
T.R.U.S.T. South LA – Communications Manager: T.R.U.S.T. South LA’s Communications Manager is a management position, working closely with program staff and reporting directly to the Director of Social Impact & Community Organizing . The Communications Manager will support the mission of T.R.U.S.T. South LA by creating and executing progressive communications campaigns and strategies. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic communicator with a passion for social justice and a proven ability to craft compelling narratives.
